right theres 2 bolts on that, the lower 16mm one to the block which normally comes out easily. The one at the top goes into the manifold itself, that normally snaps the head off.

If you loosen the lower bolt and the other bracket then the starter should come out easily enough mate.

tryed that chris all the bolts of the t shaped bracket are off aswell, wolf came round to have a look and he said the long bar will have to be removed as the plate on the starter motor itself(the one held on by two 8mm nuts) is scraping on the T shaped bar hence when you lever it from the g/box you can only get a gap of about 2 maybe 3 cm and theres till half that in the g/box. if i did snapp that bolt does the bar have to go back on as i dont recall my p2 tungy and p1 red chammy having them?

the bit in the box is cone shaped, you can just get it out, you need to make sure its pulled off the dowel.

i c what your saying but the problem still lies on the drivers side where the starter will just not lift up, you can lever it back abou a inch but has soon you let go it goes back into the original postition, i remember on the red chammy i took the 13mm bolt of the drivers side and the thing just flopped and dropped on this it just doesnt move

well get the 16mm on the manifold off. Breaking the bolt hea doff isn;t a problem, most are like that tbh.

long extension needed.

When you do it put a bolt back in the starter so it doesn;t hit you on the face!

im actually gonna have to hammer a 15mm on there coz a 16mm just slips and then hopefully it will come off, does the starter just have a live feed no earthing points?

yes live feed. Theres 2 wires on the live, the one fromt eh the alt and the black one to the battery pos terminal. And the white solenoid wire.

Its earthed through its body.

wkd m8 might actually put sum more earthsin aswell and see if that helps aswell, i still dont see why the T shaped plate the starters mounted onto doesnt move all there is 2 13mm bolts at the top the 16mm at the bottom and the two heatshield bolts and it just doesnt drop are there any more bolts on the that T shaped plate

the T has the 2 13 at the top the 16 at the bottom and a 13 mm through it from the back of it to hold the starter.

IUts also held on by a small heatshield on the drivers side from the top of the head down by 2 10mm bolts
