The nearside front suspension spring on my 19v p2 has cracked and so needs replacing. Of course it makes sense to replace them on both sides, so i will do this.

My question is, can I buy any r19 16v springs and fit them just like that, or will I need other custom parts or spacers to account for any difference in ride height? I see K-Tec have a pair for £57.58 that would lower by 35mm. Does anyone have experience of using these K-Tec springs?

Any advice would be appreciated, I'm hoping to be able to do quite a lot to the car myself :D

just save the handling, the ride, your tyres and your balljoints and get standard springs.

Thanks, can you recommend a supplier? Or is it possible to get them direct from Renault?

you can get springs from factors such as GSF (German Swedish & French)

http://www.gsfcarparts.com/

Don't forget you will need spring compressers to remove the old springs and to fit the new ones.

Yes I was slightly wary of that... I might end up sourcing the replacement springs then taking it into a garage to get that done. I also need a replacement driveshaft on the same side
