dawolff. hi guys i'm a newbie so i hope you'll bear with me on this.! after removing/replacing batteries on plip for my 1998 megane ert sport it then ceased to function at all. got immobiliser code from renault took car and key (only ever had the one key) back to same dealer where he told me the transponder was goosed. started saying new one would be £130 but after much moaning and questioning he reduced it to £70! any way got it today and all is operating fine. the only thing is tried to synch another transponder to the ECU and it worked first time, but after reading the forum it says to be careful and only push the second transponder once to open c/l and once to close c/l. now i think my new transponder is coded twice and i can't resynch the second fob. any ideas on where to start again.? cheers |

just do the thing again and when the 1st key is programmed get the 2nd key plipping |

nope.! tried same procedure, new plip working ok but plip from e bay not responding. there are so many procedures advised in the forum (i tried ign off, central locking button held for 5 second , point both at receiver and it worked. but now e bay transponder not operating.) that i don't know which is the best set up to re synch. |

are you sure the ebay key works? have you checked it with a digi cam? |

 wot (I mean what really) u mean? it doesn't have the led light at the front. it worked the first time i synched it. but there is a piece in the forum somewhere that says only plip twice, i plip'd three or four times. |

yeah plip twice, once to lock then unlock the doors then plip the other key again once to lock then again to unlock the doors both are programmed |

wait. i removed battery to see if it would clear any codes to start again. would this goose it.? that is wot (I mean what really) happened with the original plip i had. |

still can't reprogramme plip key.!! anyone tell me which is the most accurate procedure to re-synch another transponder.? cheers. |

go to renault and they will do it with the clip. |

non starter.! megane wouldn't start this morning. checked plugs and no sign of fuel. guy at sons college said it could be engine temp sensor. seems like fuel starvation. any suggestions where to start.? 1998 1.6 ert |
