I tried taking the clocks out of the 19 before but couldn;t get the speedo cable to feed acorss enough to bring it out far enough to be able to unplug it from the back.

Is there an easier way, or are they this difficult, I have spoke to DVLA and I want to clock the milege back to match the new engine!!

huwwatkins has a point there ,i dont think you can just swap your clock with a new one straight away like that .plus you say you have spoken to dvla ,i would like to get a written confirmation rather than verbal on the phone if i was you.

thats very illegal to clock the car back to the engines mileage.

if you do wind it back you need to have proof of real mileage on the car.

Leave it alone in other words.

Its illegal to claim an altered mileage as genuine. Perfectly illegal to change it to whatever you what.

Yes, that is stupid!

Just leave it as is
