hi peeps,

i need to place a crossover behind the dash on the passenger side of my ph2 16V.. i was looking at taking the whole dash back a bit, but now i'm wondering if the glove box can be taken out (haynes suggests it can), but it looks to me as if it's an integral part of the dash.. if it is, what is required to move back the dash some 10 cm? according to haynes, you need to take the whole interior part of the front of the car apart to do this..

this is the curved ph2 dash, mind you, since it's LHD, but the fixing points, etc, should be the same i would think...

Confused

If it's like ph2 1.4 energys, there should be at least 4! 2 behind a small cap at mid-height of the dash (more visible when you open the doors), and 2 behind the dash's speakers (you have to remove the covers to see them). Dunno if there are others.

the glovebox lid is the only part that can be removed.

as jorge says behind the dashtop sepakers and under the covers at the bottom corners.

Then take the steering column shroud off remove the T20 screws to the column.

Then under the heater control panel theres more t20 screws to the heater box

cheers guys.. i'm aware of the 4 studs with nuts on them holding the dash.. i was just not sure what else i need to remove to get it off.. seems the dash is pretty rigid, so you cant just take the nuts off on pass side and then pull it back a bit...

I told you what to do in order to pull it out a few inches to do what you want to do.
