Hi

Im fecked off silly with this fecking car. Still smoking like a fag in the wind.

Had cam belt changed, the fuel cog had slipped two notches. no difference. New fuel filter still the same, Head tested, Turbo checked.

NO NO NO NO NO.

So ive located an engine with 67000 on it for £80. The whole lump.

How easy is it to replace them?

And how would i stand with the vin number?

I cant see any other option as it seems to be over fueling as the smoke is black as if its unburnt. I reckon it might costs me more to buy a new fuel pump and get it set up then buying the engine and paying my mate a pony to shove it in.

But i might do it myself.

So Easy or not?? What should i look out for?

Easy enough, Vi number is no problem, i just filled out the engine number on the V5 and sent it off.

How easy was it to do huw??

did you take it out top or bottom??

Was it a tight fit to get it out?

Needed a new alternator onit and it was gonna cost me £35 but the whole engine was £80!!!!

Engine hoiste, out through the top, can be a bit tight, but nothing thats not managable, stick and new cambelt and clutch on the new engine while its out.
