Tell me this isn't so but i've got a grinding/whining noise coming from the passenger side of my car and it sounds like a bearing! Sad

The cause of my annoyance?

Well cash to fix it but more the fact that this will be the fourth bearing this car has eaten in 2 years! Granted, 2 of those may have been from drivehafts not being tightened properly but christ sake!

Sick of it!

Seriously thinking about getting rid...i want another megane as my last one was ZERO hassle unlike the clios i've had!

Sad

Well i put it into a garage to have the bearings done as i had no time myself. I'd have hoped they'd have done them up tight but maybe not enough?

Shithouse!

Had a good blast about tonight and i think its defo a bearing - fook knows why! But anyway...will get that fixed at the weekend/next week...

Chris, on the plus side those 16v brakes have bedded in now and they're awesome...even though they're still on the original pads! ARB appears to have corrected some of the camber and has also made the car completely different to drive. Still trying to find the limits but the best upgrade so far for a 1.2 IMO! Smile

Oh aye, its still as good since you sorted the cambelt Smile

I did buy a s/h k&N replacement filter to replace the IK but actually put the Ik back on tonight. Not because its any quicker (well maybe ever so slightly at high rpm) but mainly for the noise...a bit addictive! lol

Think next on the list once the bearing is sorted will be to get rid of the heavy interior and maybe drop it a little more. Will make Braehead carpark offlimits though... lol
