Right this thing been a pain in the arse. Tested it today

Battery with engine not runnin 12.35 Volts
Battery with engine runnin 12.6 - 12.7 at 1000 rpm
Battery with engine runnin at 1000 rpm with lights and headunit on. 12.0 Shocked
Battery with engine runnin at 1500 rpm. A nice 13.9 Volts.

This sound like a Alt prob. or crappy contact's ?. Or a Crappy Ph2 rust prob Laughing

alt's dodgy.

Contacts would be there all the time, also the spike from 12.6 to 14V will not be doing the ECU much good at all.

And the Boke who work at Ren said it was fine. Mind you. He is a Gearbox person, and not into all this wiring crap.

so an alt thats producing 12v at idle then 14V at 1500 is ok? Hes not very clever.

TBH I am surprised its not stalling the engine with that spike to the ECU.

But if you think its fine leave it. I'll say I told you so when something catches fire/melts/blows
