That's pretty cool.

Did he try for Mach 1 on the Autobahn too?

Hard to believe, but the M3 would just blend into the crowd at the Nordschleife...

I drove past Naas one day last week, I must say the road there has improved a lot since I was last down that way in 1999!!!

He said the amount of metal there was unreal but more amazing was the amount of tasty motors with shit drivers lol!

Naas area isn't so bad no, its still quite rough coming across from my way tho.

Whereabout were you? Naas is only an hour away from me

Yeah, the carpark in that place is something else. I reckoned that we were driving the slowest car there - a hired Leon 1.6 16v capable of only 125mph (exhaustively proven!!!).

I took a spin down to Portlaoise/Kilkenny. It took 3 1/2 hours going down the middle of Ireland to Portlaoise and 2 1/2 hours going home via the N1 even though it was longer...
Must make a point of calling in next time I'm in the area.

Can't beat a leon Very Happy

Its like a different world crossing the border isn't it? Everything changes. Even the road surfaces are different cos they're prepared with diffenent materials etc madness

Aye you'll have to call in, you can pop on to the m50 and m1 from here easy enough

True, but I did have to change lanes at 120mph to let a Passat past. I dare say that if it was a 20vt it would have been the other way around.

I was following a gritter on the way home and was behind him for a few miles approaching the border. There was nowhere to pass, but sure enough when we came to the border he did a U turn as that was a far as he can go.
Also I keep forgetting that the speed limits are in km/h now...

Our leon needs to be driven in a particualr way to get the best out of it, its like a TDi in the respect!

Was it not pretty obvious to you taht you weren't allowed do 120mph on the motorway Wink

I went to the uk recently and it took a while to get used to the mph signs which i didn't expect. Didn't help that i had a car with a kmph speedo!

Its going from the right to left side of the road that gets me. I'm so used to the right now.

But charging around Cyprus on a motorcycle, (in the 70's in the UK I used to ride more than drive), it sort of came back. (They drive on the left).

But you sit on the center of a motorcycle as in a car your offset.

If you can use all the road its cool. you can find the line with a moto, (or bicycle down the side of a mountain). But a car on an open road.

Cool pics, that M3 doesn't look that bad with the stripes tbh, could have been worse, but still get em off!
