Well Like I said before, I am going to let the Chammy go methinks.

I have taken the Willy head off, and I refurbed a std 1.8 head to go back on it, albeit mildly ported. Got it on today and boy it sounds gorgeous. Smooth and silent. Damn...do I really want to let this car go..had it almost 6 years now!

Chris, you were sooo right...now it is silent and smooth, compared to before, its 100% better and I don't want to let it go!

But I must...I would like to think it will go to someone I know or kinda know..i.e someone off here. But that may not happen, as you lot are not gullable and I might make a killing on ebay Laughing

We'll see...but it will go...need the cash to help finish the Hatch...which is getting there...engine almost complete to go in it now...just need an engine mount and some bits and bobs...

mate get it tested, worth maybe 50 quid without test, 300 min with test!

Also think seriously about taxing it for 6 months. get the insurance swapped over, get it tested and taxed for 6 months and then it will sell a lot easier.

i was getting 850 for the white chammy until the guy heard there was no tax on it. then all that crap happened and I lost out on a lot of money.

I told you JB, I'll write you an eBay auction to end all eBay auctions - if I can get £800 for Ben/My/Huw/Liam's chammy then I sure as hell can get £800 for yours! £1 start, no reserve is the way forward.

The biggest problem I think is that your in Wales - if you were round here you'd top £1k I'm convinced of it.

Tax isn't always an issue provided you have an insurance certificate to tax it with - is the certificate you had for it before you swaped it onto the 405 still valid? If not swap it over for a few days then swap it back and that certificate will serve to tax the car until it expires.

  • just put a refurbed head put on, running nice n quiet (also mildly ported),
  • new cambelt,
  • oil,
  • coolant

He bought it 6 years ago so I'd have bloody hoped so!

The price on the back of it says £750 - I'd say in todays market that should be a realistic price, I'd like to see JB get a bit more for it tbh.
