What do you reckon to this one? So, so tempted. The distance is obviously a bit of a problem (im in Hertfordshire) but picking up a 19 for £25 is surely too good to miss?

Ha ha, i see. I was thinking that even taking into account travel expenses etc then it would still be an ok buy, assuming theres no underlying problems that the guy is choosing not to disclose! Sod it i'll wait for another. What have you got planned for it Neo?

No i kind of guessed that Neo. I was gonna have it as a little project. Dont really know a lot about 19's mechanically and i was considering just jumping in at the deep end and if it all goes tits up offload it onto my brother to fix or put it back on ebay! Do you know whats wrong with it?

the brakes are probably siezed, the battery will be useless and it might just snap the cambelt as soon as you try to start it.

Yeah but thats just stuff you would look at on any car thats been sitting for that length of time. What i meant was is there anything majorly wrong with it hence why its been lying around for a year that would have screwed me big time had i bought it!

dont know, hes only asking £25 so hes not likely to tell you about anything wrong with it. He'll just say any faults must have developed in the year since the last time he used it, which is fair enough

you still can buy it, just place a bid!

unlikely Doc, if you want it, go for it, you are a lot closer to it than i am, distance from it is the main factor here, not wether the thing runs or not lol.

if no one else was interested i would prolly have bid on it but i am not gonna raise the price by bidding against you when you have more chance of being able to collect the car.

Only 120 miles from me, mates got a car trailer and got access to a LWB transit with a towbar. Hmmmmms.

To save us all bidding against each other - who wants to place a bid and how much are you prepared to pay? I was thinking of sticking £75 on.

its a very cheap valver schaks, and the idea is to confer so as people who want it dont pay more than they needed to for it.

Slightly unfair on the seller, yes, but from the potential buyers' point of view, a sound idea!

In practice though, I have found it doesnt work, as noone trusts anyone else to tell the truth about how much they would bid.
