when you removed the ABS did you just lengthen the old rear brake pipes to fit to the master cylinder.

when you remove the ABS does it affect the brake bias valve?

yes cos I ran out of brake pipe, they only had to be lengthened a few inches.

You should replace th eline to the union in line with the passengers feet, if not make anopther union on the bulkhead as using the ABS pipes theres a clearence issue with the heatshield an pipes. You need to sit them at an uncomfy angle.

Not it doesn't affect the bias valve, why would it, daft question that.

well today I sorted the sunroof.

This is a common problem. What happens is the sunroof will only go a few inches back then jam. Theres a multiply carboard sheet stuck to the roof, this seperates and drops down causing it to jam.

To rectify it is not a complicated task but a fairly long and labour intensive job.

headlining, non smoker car, very clean

I noticed this, it was rectified, scraped back, kurusted then greased and the pipe shoved right up

[img:567:378:0cbbf8071a]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/hatch%20sunroof%2002.jpg[/img:0cbbf8071a]

the cardboard

[img:567:378:0cbbf8071a]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/hatch%20sunroof%2005.jpg[/img:0cbbf8071a]

the renault mod to prevent leaks at the rear has been done, probably got nabbed at a recall period

[img:378:567:0cbbf8071a]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/hatch%20sunroof%2006.jpg[/img:0cbbf8071a]

how far back it used to go

[img:567:378:0cbbf8071a]http://www.renault-turbo.com/chris/hatch%20sunroof%2007.jpg[/img:0cbbf8071a]

now opens fully

for the subscribers to the knowledge base an article about this will be up shortly.

chris, can i ask what you cleaned the headlining with? as i know its fibreglass, and the inner side seems like fabric, i just dont want, like water stains, if you know what i mean......

man, i cant believe how lucky i am that my sunroof is really clean underneath the headlining, almost like the day it came out of the factory!

I never cleaned it.

its not fibgreglass its foam on card matey.

water based cleaners are fine just don't drown the thing, vanish and 2001 are ok on it I have found.

i used simoniz upholstery cleaner foam on mine, then a damp sponge to scrub slightly and remove the foam. Came up like new. Like Chris says, you can use pretty much any water based cleaner you want on it to clean it with, but i got the impression it wouldn't take too kindly to being soaked.
