Well last night when i was out with the missus at a restaurant, i got a text from rhys saying "uh oh", I then phoned him to ask what the problem was, and it was knocking like a fucker apparently. He had just thrashed it home from town, then it just started knocking mid journey. Well it wasnt there on tick over, but at 3krpm it was there, and boy, was it loud!!

So checked the oil level, and it wasnt even on the dipstick Rolling Eyes

stuck some oil in it hoping that the good ol CVH would fire back to life with out a knock, but no such luck.

S whiped the engine out, pulled the sump off, nothing obviously loose, pulled off the big end caps, to find all 1,2,3 scored to feck, but the crank is unharmed.
We then undid no. 4 and found this:

well and truely fecked!
again, the crank un touched!
heres the bearings after being removed:

Nice eh?

Stuck the new bearings in, and then gave up because my back was killing me, so the engine is now ready to go back in the car tomorrow!
