Yes it does work, unlike most.

Selling as not required anymore

make sure it aint the relay thats packed up...open it up and see if it is green!

done that, the relay clicks when I move the wire but the pump never comes on. Must be a dead pump??

Either way I'll soon find out.

open the pump and have a look as well
its a simple magnet system ,dont think much can go wrong with it docs

don't try and open it, the casings always crack in my experience, the screws rust and swell you see.
