nah not yet.

Need to remember its not the easiest thing to do, get a hinged block, make a bellow that is robust enough to withstand constant flexing and heat cycles.

It also has to last 150k.

Not cheap or easy.

TBH its to much hassle

making the head/block sounds a pig. still, no head gasket to go.

porsche etc have made engines with the barrels etc welded to the head for years. Not the easiest thing to case right enough, I can see lapping in valves beign awkward!

looking now. They seem to be making a bit of a drame out of turboing a honda twin.

Not the smoothest but its really not that much of an issue!

flicked through a few. In the body engineering bit now. Nopt to bright some of them. To much time in uni not learning anything and not enough hands on experience.

I hink saab are working on this at the moment. I'm sure they have an engine running with this design.

its the saab engine its talkigb about Dave.

There was a video of it running on the web about 3/4 years ago. Hooked up to an engine dyno. Cool to watch, contstant running its normal, they open up the throttle the note changes as the charger kicks in and the deck height changes.
