Hi all,

Are these Viper kits and forced air kits any good? I find with my Green kit that when the engine runs hot I loose performance, I know this will happen due to hot air, but would a Viper kit be a better option and would it keep the same performance from when the engine is cold?

Cheers

i've got a £20 induction kit on mine.

when you removed your airbox did you leave the cold air ducting pipe on thats fitted as standard?

i left mine on when i fitted my £20 wonder and have noticed no difference in performance when engine is hot from when its cold.

you can just about make out the ducting in this pic running from bottom right of the pic under the airbox bracket and ending up under the air filter

i am thinking of re-routing it thou so that it comes out directly in front of the filter

somehow i think ,placing the induction kit inside the airbox rather than leaving it open to hot air plus routing a few extra air pipes into the airbox( by making a few holes on the airbox of course) sounds like a better idea for both cold and hot running Rolling Eyes

I too have a makeshift induction kit. It's for a saxo bit the piping fits straight onto the standard air box.

The only reason I did this is because my standard airbox has 2 bolts through to the carburettor and I need 3 bolts to have a green/piperx kit that will bolt on the top.

It's really enoying as i have to keep that standard airbox.

Or can i buy a green 1.4i 3 bolt fixing and drill it to fit the 2 bolts that I have?
