Yeah but they are different by their connection to the downpipe, which is also different.

Would a williams downpipe fit in a 19, or could it be modified (relatively easily) to fit?

they are the same on all the ones I have seen! only diff is the downpipe - cat join.

yes the williams and megane manifold fit the 19 cos they are the same. But they are shit.

The megane downpipe will mate tp the 19 system ok, the williams is funny shaped due to the mount.

The 1.8's is far superior.

i thought you were wanting it for a mock up or something not to actually use.

i thought the williams has the same conical joint between the manifold and downpipe, whereas the megane has a bolted flange and the downpipe itself has a flexy section before the cat...

Apprently the megane downpipe does not mate up to the 19 cat either.

shite your right, yeah willy has the cone the megane has the flat steel gasket.

I cannae mind, you looked in project hairdresser? theres pics in there.

Anyway the 1.8's is the better manifold.

so basicly you are saying the 1.8 16v exhaust manifold from the 19 will just bolt straight onto the F7R head with no problems and no decrease in power to the engine ?

i'm interested as i am planning an F7R conversion on the hatch when money allows.

it will improve power on the the F7R, a lot of williams owners etc have swapped over to the 1.8 manifold and downpiep as it gicves a nice increase in midrange go.

the heads the same aside from the inlet ports and on the megane head and some of the later williams the machining for cam sensor (blank on willy) and the exhaust cam carrier has the big manifold gasket bolt holes, and the megane obviously has no dizzy hole machined.
