if you had as many breakdowns as i had with the car i sure you would have done the same, its not so bad if your a single person but when you have 2 small chilldren then it becomes a diffrent story, so do you know anyone with a 19 for sale Wink

i know what you mean but it sounds like you were unlucky there if the new owner is not having any probs Confused

i had my eyes on a red rsi hatch on ebay a few days a go but the seller ended the listing early for some reason .

keep an eye on freeads i would say ,would also suggest a 1.7 engined ph1 .

have seen a white one today where i had my wheels fitted ,the owner was a 70-80year old man and the wife was on the car too ,they looked and noticed we have the same cars but mine slightly different in looks .dont know what the old lady thought but the smile on her face was something like " you fecking chav ,what have you done to that car ?" dont think she knew the bonnet went was standard Laughing

i would not worry about the milage tbh mate, but thats just me

i had my black rt with 173-174k miles on the clock and never had a problem with anything apart from the clutch which i finally managed to feck after 1.5 years of heavy duty .
got 185k on the clock now and the engine is starting up and running like a dream .

what black car is that on ebay ? is it a SPI or MPI ?

I know what you mean about reliability mate. I have had my 19 16v since last may. I bought it with 17" O.Z Alloys, lowered 70mm on sports suspension full stainless mongoose exhaust etc. It looks and sounds lovely, 145bhp. However I bought the car on 80k and the clock is reading just 87k to date due to the amount of time it has been in and out of garages. I have spent over £5000 in repairs inclusing a new clio 16v engine, ABS bits colling system, braking system etc.. I have almost replaced every part on this car and will be looking to sell it soon. All that is left to do is the front wheel hubs that I am attempting to deal with at the moment. Lovely car, handles a dream and hits 140mph if you got enough road (M25!) I paid £1000 for it, as I say spent about 5k after that.
