 water pump gasket & Hylomar

lo guys,

is it kewl to just use hylomar blue sealer for the gasket of the water pump on a williams engine, it had a paper one when it came off?

id get a paper one...water has a habit of finding every single possible point to leak, so i wouldnt risk it.

i just used an old tube of black sealant stuff that my mate had... it was bright green and from halfords. Hasnt leaked yet...or has it? Smile

what about silicon sealer, or is this hylomar?

hylomar isn;t silicone sealant.

if you have a paper gasket use that dry. If not get blue hylomar and use that. Hylomar from halfords, job jobbed.
