Hey all,
Have been having a few minor problems with my 5. The main one is that sometimes, while driving and 99% uphill and under load or at high revs it will jump or judder a couple of times quite quickly, as if it just loses all power and gains it back again. I have also had it stall at uphill lights for no reason and not be able to start it for a couple of minutes.When it stalls, itll turn over fine but just never start.
I dont think the injectors are dirty because surely it would be alot more anal than just once a week? A couple of mates have said it could be the HT leads so im wondering whether to buy some new ones as the car has the original ones still.
also, another thing is my fuel gauge dosent work, and in the haynes manual it says to test the sender unit, however I havent got the time nor the knowledge so was wondering if anyone else had had this sorted by a garage and if so, how much? |

its most likely running low on fuel. and the fuel is going away from the pick up. keep it abouve 1/4 and that should solve the problem.
As for the guage, it could be dodgy wiring behind the dash, is the fuel light constantly on? |

No, the fuel light is fine,only comes on when I switch on the lights.also, I thought it may be fuel however last time it stalled at the lights I only managed to squeeze 6 quids worth in! |
