i did the work on the car, did all the welding and the rear arches and i was unable to sell the car so gave it to my cousin to use or sell and he got sick of having it around so we though sod it lets cut it up and keep and rebiuld the engine for his other ford orion, so here are some pics of todays events

cheers mate, it not out just yet we just have to undo a few bolts and thats it really, then the real work starts, we are gonna cut up the whole car and take it to the local tip, there is no one around here that will take the shell and if there was then they would charge the earth. |

i remember once yrs ago in work, we had loads of scrap metal...and we took it to a place that basically gave you money per weight for your scrap metal!...dont know if such places still exist...and if i remember it was a poor amouont of money for the hassle of getting that much metal there! |

When I was a machinist i would carefully collect all the swarf out of the lathe or mill when i made anything out of brass, and pass that onto the scrap metal merchant, its quite good money for brass! 
But yeah, not so good for steel JB  |

Theres a place near me that does it, my mate got £15 in scarp for it and they even drained the oil for him. |

I know of a company called John Lawrie, they are have a depot near here but I'm not sure if they only operate in Scotland???? They take scrap metal too...in fact I was gutted when I found out my friend who said she had "scrapped" two cars had in fact sent them to Lawries to be crushed  It was a R19 ph2 1.4 and a Clio TD!!! Either of which of course would have been ideal donors for my car!!!!!  |
