I run in modified production so, if I had the funds I could go full touring car mode but that is just not an option. I basically can do just about anything

not set a budget yet and I'm using the standard box so I'm gona be limited on the hp due to not wanting to change the box. the engine on the bench is the standard plennum(sp) engine with standard ECU/ ignition unit. how easy/difficult is it to make throttle bodies I could make them up I think!

the box isn't the limiting factor, as you can pop it with standard power so thats not really an issue if you behave and don't just do burnouts every time you start.

You need to remember the block etc will prob need machining, so theres that to take into account.

Throttle bodies, knock up a manifold and if you do a decent one then you can make more and sell them.

TB's themselves can be had pretty cheap, no point in making them, but if you must decent thick walled tubing then just scour scrappies for throttle spindles and plates.

TB's on a stick engine set up properly should net a good extra 15bhp and a much better torque spread.

If you time the cams properly then even more so.

Headwork/cams is the next logical step really.

Problem is the cash as always, if you sort out the bottom end then thats 1 thing, as you can plonk on a new head etc later on.

right thats a start then lighten and balance then sounds like the way to go Question I try not to do wheel spin as you lose time and time is what its all about.

how did you bend it?

don't touch the cap as although cast irons not notch sensitive it still swells and stretchs.

You can grind the small end casting flats away until its round.

You balanced them end to end?
