We have all moaned about bad experiences on ebay and I think this is my first so not sure what to do.

i won an item (old turbocharger) on 26th of Aug. Sent payment via postal order within a few days.

Guy sent emails, saying payment recieved etc, will post tomoz etc....then I had one a few days later asking if it arrived etc...but it never did.

i told him it never turned up, he said he would ring Royal Fail, dunno if he did as he never told me the result...so I emailed him again and again and he said he would send me a refund.

OK, so if he genuinely did post it and it got lost whats the deal? cos its not his fault...

Also someone won an item off me and I just simply never heard from them...just relist?

Cheers,

JB

It was his responsability to send the item using a method that was suitably insured and recorded for both his own and your protection.

I *always* use and ask sellers to use a signed for service because if it doesn't turn up there is instant proof and a refund / claim can be made by royal fail.

As for your non-paying bidder, get their phone number from ebay ( http://cgi1.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?UserInformationRequest ) and give them a bell ask them what they are playing at.

Failing that, on my ebay list it as an unpaid item dispute and you can reclaim your fees and relist it.

Just a bit of advice, NEVER pay for an item on ebay with

CHEQUE
POSTAL ORDER
BANK TRANSFER

always use paypal, reason being u're covered upto £500. Atleast with paypal, the can send the debt people after them and ur garanteed ur payment back as the seller has to provide proof of postage. more than likely u've been scammed!

lets just say, i learnt the hard way!

If the seller doesnt accept paypal, my advice would be stay away! 99.999% of the time, a seller who refuses to take paypal is out to scam people.

I purchased a koni suspension kit from a guy in scotland, paid via bank transfer. the guy before payment used to answer my calls and was very helpful, kept saying he was gona send it out once he arranged delivery.

after payment was made i used to call him and he'd answer saying i got the wrong number and hung up.

ebay said they cudnt do anything and the bank said they cudnt refund or give any details about his account. few days later he is deregistered off ebay. Lost all my money. its up2, but its a risk!
