yuo don't need to cut anything, use stilsons on the orignal shock to remove the insert.

The 14mm bolt on the bottom jamms the thing in.

Load of bollocks for the money as you only get half the kit. Embarassed

Should have got standard gas ones and get the spring holder and all.

the originals are meant to use a c spanner to tighten/loosen them, thing in the plate is spot welded to the threaded cup, by now 90% of them have rusted so the plates seperated fromt he cup and rattles!

I have a few struts like that

The originals have never been opened.

No rust on the outside.

I'll spray the insides with this Fluid Film anti rust crap we use on the boat.

Probably last longer than I will Laughing

well ive just got home from work, fecking shite. was incharge of all the checkouts for most of today though hehehe!

I managed to blag friday off too, told them i had booked it off ages ago! so i can finlly get the clio flatted and polished ready for it to be picked up next week Smile

On that subject, Chris, i have a wee problem with the pass wing mirror! I have been doing the wiring on it, and (none of the wires match btw) i cant get the damned thing to go up! ive got left, right, down, and then when i put the heated rear window on, i get up only lol! and there arent any wires inside the door for the temp sensor. what do you know/think about it?

why? you mixed the wires up so sort that then leave th etemp sender not working.

i havent mixed the wires up!? we get no power from up on the switch, until the rear heated window is switched on.
