Does anyone know if taking the foglight off will let me get that plastic bit off? Cuz if not then there's obviously no point in me going through the hassle of drilling bolt out etc. I tried lookin in the haynes, but that's about as much use as a smack in the face Rolling Eyes

i dont think so, cant quite remember tho...but without taking it off u cud just drill a load of holes inbetween the fins....if u really wanted to.

I took a photo of the backside of my 1.4e RN bumper
This is the plastic bit under the painted cover.
The plastic bit behind the towing eye is a part of this whole underside of the bumper.

But nobody says you cant make holes in it Laughing

I hope nobody said you can't make holes in it, cuz I've just drilled 9 lovely holes in mine! I bet they'll do bugger all lol, but hey I like doin stuff to the car. Will take some pics when I'm finished doing it all. Cheers for puttin that pic up srr! Very useful Very Happy

Looks to me though like Renault used the same backpanel on both RT and RN.
They just cut out (the manufactured "to cut out here" line) for the foglights if they were to be installed.
They're kinda smart at making things easier for THEMSELVES Laughing

Right, here are pics as promised. They're not all that great, but still you can see what I've done. First of all, the 9 holes I drilled in the trim next to the fog light, and you can just about see the 4" ally ducting behind them.........

......Which then leads up to.......

I kept the other small feed comin from that bit of the bumper. Dunno why, just thought I might aswell keep it so I just made it a bit shorted & left it there. That pipercross vector is new, I only fitted it yesterday. Has anyone else on here got one? It came with a weird bracket that you bolt onto the frame that held the factory airbox in place.......and it kinda holds the filter up in the air by the silver tube leading up to it.......but it just doesn't fit! It's NOWHERE near fitting decently in my car, it doesn't make sense........but my bolts to attach the airbox support frame onto the car were just turning in the holes, so I couldn't fix it on properly anyway, so just left the filter there in mid air. Seems fine, has plenty of room to move without knocking anything so I don't see a need for that weird bracket thing to be honest. Ah well. Who knows

ive never seen an aftermarket filter actually supported in a 16v. You mean some people actually fix them in place? With some kind of bracket???

That's what I thought! Here's what it looks like...........

It's just that little bar thing with a jubille clip (or whatever they're called) on the back to go round the silver neck of the filter. But when you put that whole assembly back in the car, the clip you need to put the filter in is NOWHERE near where the filter naturally sits lol. I could've forced it into the clip and just tightened it all up........but thought I'd leave it. Don't really want that rusty piece of shit back in my car anyway!
