Ok.

So, over the pitiful time I've owned my Clio 16v I've had (by no choice of my own) the PAS [ump (£170 recon unit), Altenator (£110 brand new Valeo item) and now the cambelt with Genuine (£90) Renault Cambelt Kit...

Now I still have this fucking whining sound coming from the cambelt side of the engine.

It seems to get more prominent with the engine temp and I dunno what it is.

Water pump was changed about a year ago too.

Cheers.

Same as mine mate.

It'll be your camblet too loose (expanding when engine is hot).

Mines silent when cold but whines when hot, done it since the cambelt was changed, its just not been tensioed correctly.

Thats my guess anyway.

Hmms.

So what shall I do? Tell the garage to loosen it off?

Thing is, it went there with a whine and came back woth one so, to them, it isn't there problem. It was sent to have a new belt and tensioners fitted, not to cure the noise.

Ffs.
