I always seem to buy cars with high mileage, owing to the fact I cant afford low mileage cars.

What sort of mileage can I expect from a Renault if I kept it serviced or even not?

One of you must have a story of a Renault engine that has reached Volvo type mileage ie 250k. If so let me know, if not let me know the average, when your engine went type mileage.

Cheers

16V's currently on 123k miles ther old 1.4 was on 206k miles and was thrashed daily, used to go to over 8krpm as well.

if its looked after then over 200k is no problem.

8400rpm to be precise was the highest I have had it.

After I stuck another heads valve springs on it it wouldn't go any higher than 7500rpm according to the 16V dash and sound.

" I kept it serviced or even not? "

why would you not keep it serviced?

red clio had 147k,

till it hit a tree.

reckon it would still do more now, even in its current condition.

what happend to your 19 anyway chris?

i know ya stripped it.

but why was that anyway?

didnt it have a crash?

My last R19 which was an '93 Ph2 RN 1.9 dT got up to about 193,000miles before she was royally written off thanks to Jewson Ltd. Engine was still going strong if not a bit 'tired'.
