OK, we all know the trick of putting "not...." with a few related brands after the item description in order to entice someone who was searching for one of those alternative brands

But whats the point in this? I mean its not as though someone searching for saxo, 106 or punto is going to see this and think "wow yeah a clio decat thats just what i want"

Monkey see monkey do.

Look out for my next ebay listing..."Renault 19 light cluster... (not BMW X5, Lancia Stratos, Land Rover Discovery)"

Surely a silenced and non-silenced decat are gonna perform the same? Just sound different?

a silenced and un-silenced de-cat should indeed both do the same job, and they do if its designed well enough.

A hollowed out cat won't, as its not only the sound waves that exapnd out in the casing but the gasses as well slowing them down.

indeed, a bashed out old cat really is a poor mans decat. if anything, weld a pipe, like the ones you got from Turkey schaks, thru the middle of the beaten out cat for that 'normal' look.
