Williams 19? NOW CONFUSED.

after recent discussions on various forums and my own personal knowledge i dismissed the probability of a Williams 19 ever existing straight out the factory. Anyway this morning on the way into the office i saw a 19 16v. as always had to have a little look, to my disbelive there were williams stickers on it (i know these don't make it a williams) in similar positions to the clio's; it had gold ph2 wheels (i know these can be sprayed!) but the bit that threw me was the gold anodised diamond badge on the front! this car had the the package. now either someone took alot of time, care and consideration when making these mods or it came straight out of the factory like it. It looked just right, as though it all belonged, not a sticky back plastic job that i've seen before but a refined williams looking possibly real R19! is there anyone with bonafide evidence to back this up. (PS i will go back and try and get pics!!)

There is NO williams 19. That car is just the same as a civic 1.3 dx 'type r' or 205 1.1 gti!

as far as I know there aren't any Willy 19s, you can get the gold badges anywhere...you should ask the owner to have a look at the engine Wink

There are no 19 Willys, you get people like Jimbo who just plaster the stickers about the shop...

There are no willy 19s end of.

If you have a set of those renault parts discs than its easily seen, theres no williams model to select under the 19!

If i stuck a cosworth engine in a clio would it be a cosworth? nope

If i stuck and M3 engine in my 19 would it be a BMW?? NOPE!

I’ve driven my Chamade for two hours, and covered around 30 miles! That was with an Engine with out a loom connected!

thats not quite right...williams didnt make the car or the engine...it is still a renault just been touched/blessed whatever by williams...so a clio with a 2.0 willy engine is as much a renault williams as a 19 with an identical 2.0 williams engine.

dont get me wrong, im not sayin they exsist, im just saying ppl with willy engine put in their 19s can call em willys if they want, cos if a willy 19 did esist thats what it would be like..just like the clio...only engine mods

A clio 16v with williams interior, suspension engine etc etc is NOT a williams in my eyes
