Seems the 1.4 has had a bit of an accident with its blades, apparantly they got a bit 'over excited' and went off the side of the screen and bit...sister reckons the arms might be a bit bent, but not enough so they wouldnt go back to resting position.

Now though, they only move slightly when operated and no further.

Thoughts? Burnt motor?

the spindles probably worn. Happens a lot.

Take the wiper arms off and operate the wipers the spindles should go back and forth. Its a poor design the spindles corrode inside their bearings.

Anyway its the splines that normally go.

If the spindles work fine with no arms on then you need to put the arms back on in the right position and tighten them up properly.
