HI,

as of yeserday when the car is cold and you stick it on full lock it sounds like this!! Now i can sorta hear a little belt noise when the car idles and i believe the aux belt is slightly too tight too, however this pump only really started doing it yesterday, listen to the thing shreak! Now it also goes away when the car is up to temp??

ITs feels nasty through the steering wheel while doing that aswell, its really lumpy and doesnt really want to turn.

Any ideas? CLios suck. Razz

pumps fooked.

Shitty clio problem.

The high pitched chirping, open the bonnet and get someone else to turn the wheel watch the ps pulley, you will see the pulley stall and the belt jump on it causign the noise.

Cheers chris, PAS on the clio 16v is the worst i have ever seen, they make all sorts of noise and barely assist the steering anyway, and thats when they are working!

Ill get someone to turn the wheel and ill have a look. Cheers again, i really cannot be affording this renault want £200 for a new pump, ive sorta gone of the idea of buying second hand again.
