Haven't watched the vids yet cuz I'm at work, but what had that white valver had done to it to run a 13.7!? My mate's impreza ran a 13.3 at santapod on the weekend and that was bloody quick! I've got an old road test of the first ph2 valvers and in the stats it says the quarter mile time is 15.9 secs at 89mph. None of my mates believe that is possible, but they are quick cars!

the white one is 2litre with throttle bodies, head work and cams i think, and it is quick! he recons with a bit more weight out, and maybe a bit cooler weather (was 32degrees on that day!) he can get it down to about 13.5/6 which is as quick as my mates impreza P1!

Yeah it was 34 degrees according to two car computers up at santapod. My mates FTO and other mates EVO6 were showin the same temp. Was feckin hot I tell thee. Don't think my 19 would've stood up to several goes of being ragged shitless down that drag strip in that heat lol. Fair play to those japanese motors. Only one thing broke the entire weekend and it was a gear box..........in an impreza with 1000bhp lol. Oh, and the jet car disintigrated on it's last run. Doh. Never did find out if the guy was okay or not. Hope he was

So how much money we talkin for throttle bodies & cams etc? Sounds like big bucks to me. Would throttle bodies be worth doin on the 1.8 16v engine? Or only really worth doin on the 2.0 16v?

yeah would probably be a fair bit of cash to do, think ben said with the 1.8 you could see 200bhp but again you'll still need to rev the bollox out of it, 2L is the way to go. remember theres no replacement for displacement lol

thats another valver with 2L power with cams/head work and re map IIRC running approx 175bhp but it is totally stripped out, think it weighed in at 880kg the ticking sound is the fuel pump its got a proper rally style fuel tank in it.

stan's doesnt have throttle bodies, so it wont be as fast.

Damn sight quicker than any other 16v or willy though I reckon.
