Put the engine back in the 19 today and tried to start it and nothing. I'm not sure i've wired the starter motor properly. i had a blank in my mind and wasn't 100% sure if it was right, should there be 2 wired connected to the poz? theres one flat connection and one cranked connection, is this right? what other things should i look out for that i may not have connected properly?

Any help appreciated..

yeah, one from the main loom from the front then the other goes direct to the battery. Is the solenoid wire attached? Is the pos from the same lead as the starter to the connector on the ECU bracket connected up?

are the lights coming on or what?

is there a battery in it? I done that once, lol 'fucking cars doing nothing' might help if I fit the battery eh! lol

The other two are attatched, the one on the ECU bracket is attatched. i'll check the solenoid wire (i didnt check that). There is ignition lights, you can hear the pump priming but as i turn the key to start there's nothing?
