Went to the scrappies today to see if i could find out how to rig the seats up and luckily there was one V6 laguna with leccy ones still intact. I was there two seconds when i realised i had brought insufficient toolage for the job so just had a gander at the wiring to try and figure a couple of things out. Due to one too many 'special fags' on the way to the scrappies i came to the decision i was figuring out fack all except for the fact that the job to come could'nt be tackled alone. There must have been @20 wires feeding the fookin seat motor, am i going to need some of the laguna loom?, can i splice the part of the laguna loom into mine?, will i need relays?, can i just feed power to the up/doon back/forward functions by way of new wire fed to batt? and am i going to set my baby on fire????. All these questions and more will keep me awake tonite, bug ma brain tomorrow and get me lost on the way to picking up the buggers on wednesday, but im optimistic about the whole affair and will return to the scrappies on the morrow to disect the V6 and see whats what. Also have to talk to wee chris and get his scope on the situ. Because i'm that confident that everythings going to go swimmingly i'll remove the old seats tomorrow aswell. More to come.......

Not the answer i was after big guy. "It'll be a doddle" was what i was waiting to hear. Anyhoo the old seats are still coming out today, still off work and fack all to do so that will keep me busy. If they rain stays away ill get back up to the scrappies too.

Righty am givin up and ill tell you why. One, when i got the seats and got them home i realised they were not going to fit, the rear inparticular, and no modification was going to remedy this, two, getting them wired in was going to produce stress levels beyond the usual, so fook it a canny be arsed with the whole affair and besides i just aquired a set of the real mcoy's yesterday, 1916v leather baby yeahhhh.

so the whole thing about laguna and safrane seats fitting into renault 19 s were load of bollocks .

this reminded me off a guy telling me that the laguna grille will fit the r19 as a debadged grille once (1.5 years ago) i ended up buying the grille and only just sold it a few months ago on ebay Smile

what a load of crap Evil or Very Mad

well 19 seats go into clios with chopping so the lag ones would go mark cannae be arsed thats the prob.

you need to make new braclets on the base, chop it to slim it down etc.

A wee understatement there big geezer, its the etc bit at the end that looked a bitty dauntin. The back seats would have needed some serious butchery in order to fit and the front ones, well, they scared me i had visions of black smoke and melting renault everytime i looked at them and not just that the distance between the rails on the bottom were diff in comparison to the 19. So as i said i got a set of 1916v leather and thats going in instead.
