Any tips for wiring in the crossovers? I'm gonna have to do this soon and it looks a right pain.

yeah... you have to wire the speakers 'out of phase'. this meant for me that the tweeters were connected to the crossover with their polarity the 'wrong' way round

not that I told you that or anything.

yes wire them out of phase, cancels out any sort of bass/mid that gets to the tweeter.

doubt GSF will do them, but hopefully they will.

Also when you fit them cable tie them to the strut, as they are they are meant to clip onto the collar so the pistons not exposed, they never clip right so cable tie em.

support the trailing arm so theres no load on the torsion bar, they are usually easy to shift after you do all that.

Addie reckons theres a place near him that uses some kind of hydraulic puller thing to get em out.

you mean a puller? How ironic.

it still goes in where a slide hammer would and you said you have fecked the threads.

Right, first update in, well, ages. Decided not to bother sorting the car, but to strip it and scrap it. Ive had way more than what i paid for it off it in parts and stereo equipment etc. Most useful things are gone, the Retro-renault vultures descended mercilessly on it. Engine and box out today, Wicked Neo is having the box. Rest gets scrapped soon, very soon.

Gearbox now sitting in the boot of my ph1, cheers Neal Smile
next payday will buy it a new clutch too, i see no point in having it all out to fit the new box without doing the clutch at the same time, so gives me a few weeks to get it all sorted ready for transplant.

also had away the door/window rubbers, mine are well manked cos of the stupid metal strip inside them and oh a leccy window switch too.
