Chill Winston... they've not arrived with the courier yet so unless you want to see pics of the "Ginger Captain" you'll have to wait till tonight Razz

It's off to Hill Power this weekend aswell to be RR'd so will be interesting to see how Nicks new setup compares to the old one as she made 144atw's on the old setup with a very restrictive 1.4 energy exhaust system on it so i'm hoping for a little more.

1.4 system isn't that bad tbh.

Worst bit is the mid silencer which on the 16V branches oiff but on the energy it passes through it

2l conversiosn on novas with 1.2 exhaust have let the xe breathe to stock power believe it or not, obviously got more when a decent one was fitted though!

It went to Nick's feeling ok but after he fitted the cams the car just wouldn't rev Chris. It felt like it was holding back so much. We took it to Custom Chrome in Nuneaton who took one look at the exhaust guage and said that's very wrong. New exhaust and relocation of the induction kit afterwards really made the gasses flow in and out better as it pulls hard throughouthte revs.

to much reversion with the new cams and the slightly restrictive exhaust was the cause of that mick.

Well we're hoping it's free'd up a few more ponies. Would be nice to get a figure before and after the TB setup goes on. Fingers crossed they've arrived by now so will stick up some more pics later.

Cheers mate... just been out and purchased an engine stand today for the bargain price of £20 so I can work on the lump off of the floor. TB setup is now built and ready to be fitted... just waiting for the management to land now and we're away!

>>Assembled Setup Picture<<

Chris/Ben - The stupid PiperX filtration will never fit the setup due to the fuel rail so are Socks a safe option or would you not risk/use them? Ben, where'd you purchase the ITG setup you use as that seems to be offset to allow for the fuel rail?

Mick

PS: The 19 saw an observed 141.6bhp at the wheels yesterday. That's 2.4 less than last time but i'm still chuffed with that and can't wait to see what the TB setup does.

Glad someone else likes the Megane dash conversion. Some people really don't like it but I do have to admit that it's possibly the worst laid out of the Renault dashes ever!

Anyway, time for an update:

At 17:55 today the fuel lines were hooked up. She took a big drink of fuel, a gasp of air and as the ignition turned over she coughed in to life for the first time on throttle bodies! I still need to find a decent bolt to plug the EGR valve and to get it on to the M3DK management but by christ did she sound lush!

More pictures are already up and can be seen by clicking >>HERE<<. Ignore the cable ties in the pictures. They're merely holding the radiator at level whilst I fabricate the brackets to hold it in place.

I've not shot any video of it running like a bag of over fuelling spanners on standard management. Just started to wire the M3DK up but time got the better of me and a young lad just up the road has just purchased a Cabby which isn't firing right so i'm off to check that out for him tonight but i'm hoping to get the management wired in for next week by doing bits in the evening (Work permitting of course)

Cheeky mare... that's a Chinesse burn for you at FCS Razz

TBH I'm not sure what it'll be running once it's been setup. Some people seem to think it'll be runnign about 220bhp or maybe even more but I choose to keep my gob shut and avoid looking really stupid later!

I'm hoping for 200bhp and i'll be happy with that but we shall see what Mr Walker manages to squeeze out of her on the 7th. I'm runnign round looking for a DeCAT at the minute and it's doing my nut in as I refuse to pay over £100 for a 1Ft piece of straight pipe with a flange welded on it.
