It was less than 4 quid, can't remember exact amount....
Drivers door, kept slaming it to get it closed, clunked when it opened and creeked. Solution, two new hinge pins. Took all of five mins to change and the door shuts like a Rolls Royce.
It even goes faster, well, maybe not, but its such a small prob that was driving me mad and i feel a lot better for doing it.(kicking the bl**dy door shut, i was realy loosing it....).
Might help someone? eh.

some cars you can get lucky other only the top pins will come out and the bottom ones won't.

I have the latter prob, however need to cut the door off anyway cos its bent. Still have the drivers door though as a prob.

Must admit i soaked mine a few days before hand with WD 40. They were tight but I had a good torx bit (snap-on) and moved it back and forth a couple of times to free it up a bit. The old pin looked like a miniture cam shaft it was so worn! must keep em greesed.
If you got gas/air bottles try heating it up a bit..( can't spell aceter..er..er)!

well on the passenger side door I emptied a can of wd-40 on it over the span of a week. No joy

Done the same with plus gas.

Was going to use heat but decided against it as it would melt the paint off for a good distance around it.

So tried and tried rounded it off.

Time to get physical, tried mole grips on the bugger, no go. Cut the head off in the theory it would relieve tension on it so I could unscrew it easily, no joy.

So I am just gonna get another door (its damaged badly as it folded back on itself) and chop it off.

Another tip is to loosen the striker pin and rotate the plastic a bit or swap them over from the rear doors to prevent rattling.

Once the door is off you might get a drill bit in there, I think the threaded bit is at the bottom, so you'l be limited for space, Doh.. you can drill it from the top, it'l take some time to go the whole length of a pin but if you can't get in from the bottom i see no alternative.

liek I said the doors going so the plan is chop the door off with my favourite tool the grinder then I can just chop the hinge and pull the pin out.

I tried drilling before and no go.

Drivers side still have a head on the scre so it may come out if I am more patient, its only been 2 years.

Once you get the door off, you might be able to grind the centre section of the hinge out just leaving the bottom part with the threaded part in, this you might be able to drill out

all I nned to wdo when I cut the door off is grind the bottom of the hinge on the door side off then I can lift the pin oput still threaded in the other bit.

Well thats the plan, simple in theory but will the grinder take the abuse.

Good wee grinder, 16 quid from B&Q and its cut up Georges clio and done various other work, often for long periods of time.

Yep, my mistake, thought the threaded bit was on the car not the door! Just shows how much notice i took when i did my one.
