Local sainsburys here is 86.9 too and Tesco are at 87.9 for regular unleaded. Shell tho are really slow and still at 94.9 for basic unleaded!

They will do this, then it will steadily rise again, to near Christmas when it'll go over the 100p mark. Calm before the storm

Ive never had a noticable difference between opti-v-power-max and regular shell but I do get a noticeable difference between shell and tesco unleaded of around 3mpg.

The biggest difference between Optimax and premium is the price...works well on gullable ppl.

Its the fact that its "developed" with ferrari and is 99% the same as what they use in formula 1 apparantly that people buy it. What amazes me is stupid people who put it in there corsas/micras etc because they truely belive it will make a difference. I can understand performance vehicles as yes if they are mapped for it then it will make a difference.

Conversely, i doubt a ferrari F1 car would run quite so well on Tesco unleaded. But think of the clubcard points Shocked

lol not even gonna bother with that one.

The subject of fuel is a very intense one and most of you cannot grasp the concepts on it as your not sad enough to bother.

But RON means little apart from its resistance to knock, says nothing about its responsiveness, economy or even ultimately power.

Price drop is due to falling crude oil prices. Prices are expected to drop another few pennies at the pump again apparently in hte next few days.

You need 98 in a 16v

They say it will run on the cheap stuff, but.

You use more fuel.

The wife tried that one on the old Clio 1.4 auto. Drank gallons as you put you foot down more to get it going.
