Skittles Vodka

I am currently in the process of producing some skittles vodka, I have heard great things about it so thought it would be worth a try.

What you will need:
1 Bottle of Vodka, brand of your choice.
Skittles, around 5 bags per 1l of Vodka
2 Bowls
1 glass for displaced Vodka.

Im using a 70cl bottle and 6 bags of skittles, any less and I would probably eat them before they get into the bottle. First thing to do is to sort your skittles, the green skittles have to be removed due to tasting "issues" the rest can go into the bottle. Next up you will need to removed some vodka, just pour it into a glass. Aiming for about 1/2 to 2/3 bottle of vodka.

Sorted sweeties!

Now just drop your skittles into the bottle, I left out some of the yellow & orange because im a purple and red man. I had quite alot of overflow vodka left, this will be enjoyed neat. As you can see in the following pic, the skittles shed there colour VERY quick the pic is about 30 seconds after getting all the skittles in. Also note large amount of skittles to also be enjoyed.

Ideal time for this to become decent to drink is around 5-7 days, being shaken 2 times a day. The skittles should totally disolve after 2 days leaving you with some fatty goo floating on the top of the mix. This can be removed by putting the mix through a coffee filter or you can swirl the mix and the fat should clump up into balls that can be removed. Will update this as it happens.
