Coolant for F7P

I don't really know anything about coolant theory, etc, but I do know that I have to top up the coolant a bit as it's very close to min level.. Haynes says ethylene/glycol based coolant and thats it, but is there anything else i have to look for when getting some coolant to top it up with? the current coolant looks green, what does that mean?

cheers..
