Theres 2 bushes at the box end of thelinkage. Not got the part numbers, but when I last bought them it was £3.50 it came to.

1 is a round knurled metal bush (which the bolt of the linkage passes through) and the othe ris a rubber affair which slips over the top of the box arm and takes out play. You sometimes need to crush the linkages end a bit to tighten it up again.

There should also be a spring at the gearstick under the car to pull it back into postion in nueatral. These are normally missing/corroded. Ren will try and fob you off with the £13 kit but get the right part number one as its only a fiver them. Or get a spring from elsewhere.

New renaults the linkage is weighted for a more positive feel, on some the weight is just a clamp.
