Brake v wheel issues

Got a problem with my old clio (now my dads);

To cut a long story short its got 16v calipers on it with espace steel wheels. Theres been a slight rumbling when he's been driving it and it turns out the calipers are touch the wheel ever so slightly.

My dad is going to grind the caliper down a bit to try and fix it but i'm just wanting to check this will be ok and will solve the problem?

If not, i'll maybe take my rsi calipers and discs out to swap over which i'm fairly sure will solve it as well...
