Trax, Silverstone 2008 Review and Picture Thread

Well, it was a wet one but still one hell of a laugh camping out Saturday Night with the guys from RSC and Retro-Renault!

I think Jen was the wettest and muddiest of the lot of us, never seen a girl covered in so much mud and still smiling!
A Huge thanks to Ant from the RSC for providing us with hot food all Saturday night and Sunday morning!

From the moment of arrival at the campsite which for me was 3:45pm Sat Afternoon until 7:30pm, it was raining so of course no one wanted to pitch their tent in the wet so we all huddled under a very quickly constructed gazebo.

Then much to all our relief, it stopped raining which was followed by a mad all hands on deck rush to get the tents up as quick as possible, Jen's tent was the last at that time to go up and just before we could finish it, the heavens opened again so the waterproof sheet got put over it and we all ran to the gazebo before noticing, something not quite with Jen's tent, the poles had got a mind of their own and was bowing every which way, a few of us braved the rain to put it to rights at which point Jen dived under the waterproof part to see what was occuring inside and ended up in the mud lol
A few moments later all was well with the tent and all back under the gazebo sheltering from the rain.
In an effort to warm up and dry out, some of the guys went to the bar whilst the rest of us hardier souls braved the rain and set Ant to the task of tea making and food cooking which was much welcomed and warmed the body nicely.
Those who had gone to the bar now got just as wet as they were before by walking back to the tents lol
After a few beers and another round of hot tea we all crawled inside our (surprisingly) dry tents and attempted sleep, sadly a bunch of muppets on the campsite thought it would be fun to rev engines and beep horns until 1am in the morning but none the less, it was so nice to be warm and cosy inside dry sleeping bags.

5:30am came around all too quickly and apparently my alarm that I had set was loud enough to wake up all our little encampment (opps)
anyway more hot tea, dry clothes, a quick wash and headed off to Silverstone around 7am.

to be continued..
