Depending on what you want to achieve with your stereo you could use several speakers to replace the standard dash ones. The ones that are there are simply a tweeter so tbh that's all you need to put in there, however; there are different ways of doing this.

1. Use a component set and run the tweeter from the crossovers running the component set. You can butcher the standard speaker to allow you to mount a tweeter to it or you can cut the grill on the dash and glue the tweeter into the hole.

2. Just run a tweeter off the stock wiring. (Not advised though)

3. Run a 3" or 4" speaker with built in tweeter from the standard wiring. This will work better than option 2 but you'll have to fabricate something to hold the speaker in place.

Out of all of those I'd use the first one but run your own speaker wire and amp the components. You also have to consider the need to place speakers on the dash as the best sound comes from a directional tweeter placed close to the mid bass in the doors.
