Renault 5 with RSI Engine Fitted
Yep i'm putting it up for sale as a motorike has come up which i want....and in fact should be getting next week.
Anyway its a renault 5 campus with a fully serviced clio rsi engine fitted. The conversion was done by Chris H off here so you know it'll have been done properly...it goes really well and always starts first time every time. Bad points (reflected in the price): - Bodywork is less than ideal...it has some rust underneith the windscreen, arches etc. The sills have also been previously welded and will likely need tarted up again. - The sump has a slight leak...not a lot but enough to leave a drip or two when it stops. Its not damaged in any way it just needs a new gasket or possibly even just tightened up. - Interior needs a clean...i haven't bothered as i was going to fit buckets (have already dispensed with the rear seats). Good points: - Fricking quick! This car would be on par with any 16v acceleration wise and has seen 110 with loads more to go. - Probably the only phase 3 RSI engine to have be transplanted despite the ECU imobiliser. - Comes with recently powder coated GTT alloys and brand new 185/55/13 tyres, - MOT'd until next year, taxed until july. Conversions and pics detailed here; R5 Rsi I realise its not a mint car but would be a good fun runabout for someone. It might also be a good source of parts for a someone given the engine, exhaust, wheels etc and also a example for wiring a 16v engine into another 5. Price wise, £500 seems fair which is a lot less than i paid but i may consider offers....with or without the wheels. If all else fails i'll store it/break it up for parts ready for another conversion. It won't be given away despite me getting the bike!! |
