clio 16v for sale - Retro-Renault

hey guys,

as much as i want to get back into this club properly and actually own another valver my parents wont let me, well not after all the trouble and money i have spent in the past on these and murder is on the books if i turn up in one, therefore i have found a bargin that enthusiasts cannot miss out on so here goes.....

girl walks into work wants a set of rear brake pads for her valver, then she tells me that she wants to sell because of the engine size, i had a good look round and saw it was pretty straight and she asked how much would i like it for and I said honestly having worked on the cars before Â£700, she didn't dissmiss this price all she said was that her mechanic reckons its worth a Â£1k. I told her that i had worked on the cars before and gave her the honest truth and she respected that and said thats what she thought she'd get for it aswell.

The spec is....
95 N plate
Clio 16v
449 williams blue
90K
service history book has loads of stamps
all the MOT's apart from 4 one of them being last years
tax until 31/07/07
new mot to be done(hence the rear brake pads)
ph2 wheels good tread on tyres
scorpion backbox
oil pressure and temprature seems fine
water resivoir seems to have been cleaned as there is no rust looking water in it, couldnt get the oil filler cap off so checked oil via dip stick and oil looks fine not to thin like it has water in it will need a oil change though if bought as last one done 02/06.
no nasty knocks or rattles

the downside is....
the drivers side rear lense doesn't seem to be flush with the bood lid had a bit of a fiddle but no use, dont know whether its been in a rear ender or something.
sunroof does not close therefore gaffa taped
bonnet needs either a respray or cutting compound and good polish
arches bubbling, sills under doors look like they have surface rust on them

Overall personally id give her Â£600 for it however you guys may thing different, she wants shot of it by next week so if anyone is intressted give me a call on 07949565256, she will take less than her asking price of Â£700 due to wanting to get rid of quick. car is located in surbiton.

i think the cap was over tighted and i didnt want to get a pair of molegrips on it just incase i snapped it. The MOT will be fresh, as far as i know she is getting it tested today.

unfortunately a clio wont wash up, cook, clean.... etc

her fiesta is succuming to the good old tin worm, so gotta get something else, just dont wanna pay alot
