Doc's Yellow Megane F7R Coupe

Thought I'd pop this on here first so you can help me change the add if required, However, if someone is interested then let me know.

1997 R Reg megane coupe 2.0 16v F7R

As above in bright yellow. (My car)

It's in near perfect condition for the age, just ask anyone who has seen it in person at the FCS.

61,500 ish miles,FSH up to 52K when i bought it, but then I have serviced it myself.

It has had the following since I’ve owned it:

Gearbox oil changed for fully synthetic stuff.
oil filter and oil changed when bought and 3k ago with Castrol fully synthetic oil.

K-TEC twin exit stainless steel exhaust (cat back)

Ram air induction kit and breather filter.
Engine degreased to make it look nice for the FCS.

N/S rear quarter and rear bumper stripped and resprayed as the paintwork didn't feel rite.

Both rear arches stripped, rust treated and sprayed with rubberised paint. (done at the same time as the bumper and r/quarter) all paint work still under warranty.

Both front doors & boot covered with dynamat.

GOOD BITS
V5 of course!
Yellow (best colour for one of these)
Cat 1 factory alarm and immobiliser
2 Keys, both in full working order.
New wind screen
4 months tax
11 Months MOT
Stainless steel braded brake lines (not fitted)
spare Power steering pump.
spare ignition coil pack and rocker - only covered 45K so in VGC! (expensive and common problem later on in life)
Loads of history, well looked after example.
Recorded Cambelt history @ 36K (IIRC)
16” Renault alloys, all in VGC!
Good tyres
Faultless mechanical operation
The plastic filler bottle for the coolant is CLEAR and the coolant is BLUE. For a Renault of this age that’s simply a miracle and a testament to the care that has been taken on this car.

BAD BITS

Slight exhaust leak around the joints of the Stainless steel system. It annoys me because I know it’s there but it passes MOTs like it so it’s not really classed as an issue.

Rust.

At the top of the screen, it's only small and when polished you don’t notice it. I've been quoted £80 to have it fixed. (You pay the extra money and I’ll have it done for you.)

Body

There is a tiny 2mm scratch on the o/s rear quarter near the roof, it's tiny but needs to be mentioned. I never noticed it for months so that should say something about it.

Front bumper has 2 slight dints in it above the number plate as next door like to hit it from time to time when they open their door. This has also cracked the number plate but it isn’t bad.

Some dickhead pressed too hard on the bonnet and dented it slightly. not too bad but has to be mentioned.

Interior

The interior is spotless but there is a little wear on the drivers bolster. It’s not that bad at all but you would notice it if you looked for it.

SUMMARY

It’s an honest car and you’ll never find one in this condition without any skeletons in the closet.

I’ve lowered my asking price as it may have been optimistic, however I’m not gona just give the car away. Parkers say the cars book price is just shy of £2300 therefore I’ll take £1800 for the car, but not a penny less so no stupid offers please.

That is the only bit that bothers me. you got more than 4 wheels on your car?

Most would imply to me more than half but then you say the one or two that do have scuffs... its only nit picking but be precise, is it one of them or two of them that have scuffs.

16” Renault alloys, all in good condition but two of them show very minor scuffs (put a pic up of the wheels in question to show how minor the scuffs are)

comes with 5 alloys Si. I'll change it though as it really is nit picky for me to even mention them as they would be sold as mint by anyone else.
