1994 M reg 5dr Executive - Anyone Interested?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of changing the car soon and am just seeing if any of you are interested in my 19, because I'd rather it go to one of you guys than some boy racer that's just gonna abuse it and probably end up crashing it y'know!

When I bought it in January 2004, it came with a lot of history & previous MOTs & receipts & stuff, and I have got every single receipt, MOT, etc since I have owned the car. I have always changed the oil & coolant etc well before the recommended interval, cuz I'm fussy like that!

Important things that I can think of that have been done since I've had the car....
- New fuel tank
- New throttle position sensor
- New heater matrix
- Rocker cover gasket
- Camblet changed at end of August (about 4,000 miles ago)
- New coolant temp sensor
- New idle control valve
- Engine mounts replaced
- Custom longlife stainless steel exhaust

Okay I think that's about it for the important things. I have done lots of other stuff to it that I will just be here for days writing out (maintenence wise I mean, the car is standard apart from exhaust & induction kit).

So yeah, it's currently just gone over 111,000 miles and I've owned it since Jan 2004 when it had done 76,000 miles. It's never broken down ever. It's just had annoying little problems really, like exhaust rattling or knocking etc, heaters not working (obviously doesn't affect how the car drives, and that's sorted now anyway), not idling properly, and that's about it.

Good bits....

- 4 Toyo proxe T1-R tyres, only a few months old.
- Original alloys with all 4 centre caps (and I've got 4 spare centre caps too!)
- Fully working heater matrix that's only a few months old.
- Good engine once it's warmed up!
- Absolutely immaculate leather interior.
- Every single receipt & MOT etc since I've owned it, and some from the owner before me.
- Oil & coolant changes always done well within the recommended intervals.

Bad bits.....

- Needed lots of welding to get through it's last MOT in June. About £300 worth to be precise.
- The usual rusting on rear wheel arches, and also some around rear boot lock and along bottom edges of driver & passenger doors. Bonnet is rust free.
- Sometimes it doesn't idle properly. It never cuts out, but it just hunts around for the idle sometimes. I've changed the coolant temp sensor and the idle control valve and neither made any difference. I've got a new lambda sensor here but haven't got round to fitting it yet.
- Rear window heater & rear fog light switches don't light up anymore.
- Exhaust knocks on the car where it goes over the rear beam thingy. I keep lifting it up by rotating it on the front join behind the cat if that makes sense, but it eventually works it's way down & starts knocking again.
- Engine is tappy when cold. It goes after 5 mins of idling tho, I think pretty much all 19's are like that these days.
- Passenger side foglight has a crack in it, and it also doesn't work. I've got a spare one here, but haven't fitted it.
- Fuel pump whines a bit. Not sure if this is a problem or not really.
- Slight knocking or 'clunking' noise when you turn a corner whilst going over bumps. Seems to be coming from the driver's side.
- Exhaust blowing very slightly from front join of cat. Easy fix.
- Crack in rear reflector panel (see pics).
- Dent on rear driver's side wheelarch (see pics).
- Rear parcel shelf will have two 6 x 9 holes cut in it, cuz I will be keeping my speakers for my next car.
- The brakes aren't very good. It's got new discs & pads all round tho, so I'm guessing the problem is in the hydraulics somewhere?
- Rear passenger side door doesn't work on the central locking.
- Steering wheel makes an annoying squeeking noise when you turn it, and all it is is the rubber gaitor thing at the bottom of the steering column where it goes through into the engine. I can't for the life of me get it in the right position tho, but I'm sure it's easy to sort out for someone that knows what they're doing!

I think that's everything, I'm trying to be as honest as possible like! Sorry that this post is so long! If you wanna know anything, just ask. I bet I've forgotten something obvious, even tho I've written so much! Here are some pics......

Paint work is awesome on it, and after a good wash she looks like new.....

I had to show you a pic of it when it's dirty tho, cuz it's the best way to get the crack in the rear reflector panel to show up.....

The crack is also in this pic, but it's not as noticeable when the car's clean.....

And it does scrub up amazingly well everytime you wash it (note this pic was taken before the dent in the rear wheel arch).....

Here are some better pics of the dent, it's really hard to get it to show up in a photo tho.....

From the front....

The seats are immaculate.....

So is the rest of the interior.....

The engine......

Okay that's enough pics for now!

I've got no idea how much to say for it. I think even if I say £500 I am dreaming to be honest, so what do you guys think? I mean I dunno how good the car is underneath cuz it needed all that welding at the last MOT......so I dunno is it actually worth trying to keep as a car if that makes sense. It might be better breaking it or something. Anyone's welcome to come & have a look or whatever, see what you think. Just let me know like.

Cheers for looking!

how are you going to get it working considering you'll have no wishbones or driveshafts or anywhere to mount them?
