Engine bay on those things are quite large, heard of a rover V8 conversion on a viva before.
I owned a viva in my youth, with a massive 1.3 engine, same one they used in the Chevette and when you opened the bonnet and saw this little engine sitting in all that space . . well no wonder ppl do conversions like this.
