I was getting quotes like that about 6 months ago because I had my Licence less than a year.
Once I had a years NCB though, it dropped dramatically.

it could pull to one side for any number of reasons, knackered ball joint, tracking is out, buggered wheel etc etc
£240 a month to insure ? ? mines £400 a year fully comp!! and with the proposed Mods they want £670 a year fully comp.

10 yrs NCB fully comp protected £179 on the scenic + can drive any other car 3rd party,
and I'm only 21
